Welcome to Carnarvon Gorge Wilderness Lodge, a unique North Queensland Outback holiday resort situated in the spectacular Carnarvon National Park. Carnarvon Gorge has over 25km of graded walking tracks criss-crossing fresh water streams, meandering through lush tropical side gorges, passing by tranquil waterfalls, climbing the sandstone cliffs and delving into the deep rock crevices that conceal many of Australia's significant Aboriginal art sites.

And it's yours to enjoy, when you journey into Queensland's southern central highlights. The focus of the Wilderness Lodge is to give each visitor an unforgettable environmental experience. The park surrounding the Lodge boasts unique wildlife, spectacular scenery and incredible bush walks.

Accommodation

At the entrance to Carnarvon Gorge is the Carnarvon Gorge Wilderness Lodge, perfectly planned as a welcoming, comfortable base from which to discover the timeless mysteries of the Gorge.

30 unique timber and canvas Safari Cabins have their own outback charm and blend unobtrusively with the surrounding Macrozamias, Cabbage Palms and Gums. A wide shady verandah allows you to sit back in your Squatters chair and listen to the sounds of the bush and watch the variety of wildlife roaming quietly nearby.

Queen Safari Cabin: Bedding is 1 Queen Bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 adults & children.

Queen + Single Safari Cabin: Bedding is 1 Queen Bed and 1 Single Bed. Maximum room capacity is 3 adults and children.

Queen + 2 Singles Safari Cabin: Bedding is 1 Queen Bed and 2 Single Beds. Maximum room capacity is 5 adults and children.

Dining

Meals are served in the Squatters Dining Room, or outdoors under the clear western sky. Please note there is no cooking facilities on site. Enjoy a drink in the Oasis Bar, or relax in the "Macrozamia Lounge".
